Hook and Ladder Tasting at Evergreen Prospect
September 17 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In honor of 9/11 and the brave men and women who charged into the chaos of the World Trade Centers, we will be having Hook & Ladder wines out at our Prospect location this Friday for a tasting.
Hook & Ladder is a California-based wine company that was founded by San Francisco firefighter Cecil De Loach and his wife Christine back in 1970. The De Loach family helped shape the California wine-making business. They helped draft laws and regulations that would make California winemaking sustainable farming and sat on the board for many organizations throughout the region.
On Friday, we will be tasting their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines.
Pinot Noir has an aroma as expressive as its deep red garnet color, with a vibrant violet and plum essence. Succulent red fruit delivers upon each sip, while the palate evolves with trace toffee tannins, vanilla, and sweet blueberry.
The Chardonnays bouquet elicits floral notes of honey, ripe apple, and light butterscotch. The flavors exhibit subtle, creamy, Gravenstein apple with a touch of nectarine and guava on the finish.
